OMG! Just saw David Cook in concert! #fangirling #squeeeee (Taken with Instagram at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino)
FINALLY!
After months and years and decades - okay, I’m prolly exaggerating a bit, but finally, finally someone I actually adore comes to my hometown for a concert!
YES!
DAVID COOK!
When he tweeted about it, I was beyond ecstatic. I just HAD to watch him! And I made a promise to myself that, if one of my most favorite performers or bands come here, I would spend - splurge, even - for the tickets no matter what the cost. So, after coercing asking a friend to join me, we decided we wanted to watch at the front most. Unfortunately, due to our schedule, we weren’t able to buy the tickets earlier, so the front seats were full. :( So, we got the next best thing: VIP. Oh, yeah.

The days went alarmingly slow once we bought the tickets… Then, July 15 came.
David Cook was here!
Unfortunately again, because of my schedule, I wasn’t able to see him in the meet and greet at SM Cebu. But, well, I was going to watch him concert in Watherfront Hotel and Casino anyway, so whatever! LOL
And, boy, did he NOT disappoint! He was sooooo amazing! From the aesthetic lights to his song choices to his personality in general, he was such a dream.

The songs he sang (just off the top of my head) were Circadian, Heroes, Mr. Sensitive, The Last Goodbye, a new song they just wrote entitled From Hero to Zero, I Did It For You, Paper Heart, Come Back to Me, a cover of a Gavin DeGraw song which I forgot the title (I was busy clearing my phone memory so I can, you know, haha), Goodbye to the Girl, Light On, Always Be My Baby (in which everybody stood up and sang along - finally), Fade into Me and the last song which I forgot what (LOL) but I think it’s The Last Song I’ll Write for You. Hahaha that’s what I remember, anyway.

Live is most definitely better than studio recordings. Haha he is so good! As a singer and a performer. And how he handled the Cebu audience - one of the most hard to please crowds - was just awesome. He’s been so gracious with everything. Haha :D
Apart from the opening act (Vfort? Who the-?) and the not-so-reactive audience (especially up at front), my friend and I had such an amazing time. My arms were hurting and my throat was itchy in the end, but it was so worth it.

This has been a dream come true. Really. And I most definitely regret nothing.
So, David Cook, if you’ve had a mental breakdown and actually reading my sorry excuse of a blog, THANK YOU SO MUCH. For last night and your music and your talent and just - thank you! This has become one of my most unforgettable nights ever, and it was such an honor to watch you perform. Thank you. ♥
